Today marks 245 years since one of the most important birthdays of the modern era.

Chodesh Nissan Tov! The Mishnah designates today as Rosh Hashanah L’Malachim – the day on which the reign of a Jewish king officially begins. As such, today is also “Rosh HaShanah” and to some extent posses the special power of Rosh HaShanah.

Rebbe Nachman declared, “My entire essence is Rosh HaShanah.” Rosh Hashanah is the start of the new year. Likewise, Rosh Chodesh is the start of the month and begins at the exact time the tinniest sliver of the new moon begins to appear. The Rebbe’s life mission was to teach us to appreciate and recognize even the smallest measure of spiritual goodness, so that we are spurred on to live a new life of great joy and encouragement.

It is therefore no coincidence that the Rebbe was born on this day. Many years ago, great kings like Dovid and Shlomo led and inspired our nation to reach incredible spiritual heights. Today, the Rebbe’s birthday marks the birth of a great Tzadik who continues to lead and encourage every Jew to find God no matter how distant they are.

As such, the Breslov Research Institute is doing its part by giving birth to many new and exciting projects. We ask you to please partner in these projects. Each project has the power to change the world in no small way by bringing hope and encouragement to many, many, thousands of people.
