Dvar Torah for Parshat VaEra 5765
Based on Likutey Moharan II, Lesson #7
Eight years ago this week we sent out our first weekly dvar Torah.
I think it might be time to start again. So, with God's help, here
we go again. Maybe just some short pieces till we get back in the
swing of things.
"Therefore, say to the Jewish people, 'I am God. I will remove
you... save you... redeem you... and take you to Myself as a nation...
(Exodus 6:6–7).
Rebbe Nachman would offer encouragement to the darei matah (the
nether dwellers), those of us who feel that Pharaoh is our master
and no one is coming to tell him, "Let My people go."
No, says, Rebbe Nachman. God is with you, near you and beside you.
You don't have to wait long or go far for relief. The God you seek,
the God Whose presence will ease your misery, is already with you.
What you consider your feeble efforts are precious to Him and keep
Him ever near to you. Don't give up.
